these work well but the plastic end caps always fall off and they dont fit tight into all pole cups.

I purchased my first subwoofer mount pole to simplify my DJ set up to just the subwooder and the single Behringer powered speaker. Since my subwoofer doesn't have the pole mounting hole, I've been hesitant to install it. It means cutting into a perfectly good Vocopro sub-1500, and I didn't want to risk damaging it.
So I created a workaround. I attached a speaker mounting bracket (On-Stage brand) to a 3/4 inch MDF board, and use it as a base. I then insert the Pyle adjustable pole in the upside down bracket and place the narrow end into the speaker or another shelf I creating using another On-Stage mounting bracket.
While making a large projection screen using my 2 Pyle DJ style speaker stands, I came to realize another use for the pole. By taking out the 1.375 inner pole, I could invert the lower half and place it on top of my 6 ft stand. This increased the overall height to over 8 ft without having to buy another set of extra tall stands. Now my existing ones can do double duty. I could conceivably mount a speaker way up there, but the best use will come from using the extra height to attach my 5 x 8 ft video screen material. This will put the screen up high, with over 3 ft of clearance at the bottom so more people can see the screen over the heads of people seated in lawn chairs or seated on the ground during our movie night/picnic parties this Summer.

I would avoid these at all costs! We got 2 of them to use in our subs and the end that goes into the sub hole, it is too small and allows way too much play. We put the pole in the sub, put a speaker on the top, and watched as the speaker, pole and all, swayed back and forth! No way!!!
